• Silverstone Firefly Ash

(CW's Silver Ash X Triple S Firefly) 2004 Grey Mare (Picture/Pedigree) We are excited to add this gray mare to our breeding program ! She was one of only TWO gray morgans in Canada, and the ONLY ONE in Western Canada when we brought her in as a two year old. She is a super sweet mare, with incredible movement and just loves to be worked with. Ash has a gorgeous, big, buggy eye, long neck, great top line, smooth body, and is just what we were looking for to add to our breeding program. The long search was worth it !!

(Aspenglow's Insurrection X VQM Petite Mignon) 2004 Bay mare (Picture/Pedigree)
'Lu' is an absolute treasure. Lyle has always wanted to get into combined driving, and Lu is just the mare to do it with ! She is a dream to drive, loves doing the obstacles and never tires on the marathon course. Shown in Oklahoma as a 2 yr old by The Rivers Edge, she placed Top Ten in pleasure driving before coming to Coulee Bend and starting her combined driving career. Now in addition to being our 'go to' driving horse, Lu is proving herself as an excellent riding horse as well. She has been an amazing trail horse - crossing rivers, climbing hills, going through deep gullies, doing obstacles and small jumps and more !

‘Fancy’ is a gorgeous chestnut filly that definitely lives up to her name ! She is the first foal out of our gorgeous Palomino mare, Coulee Bend True Bliss, and sired by the well known ‘colorful’ and extremely well bred Morgan stallion, Regal Charade (War and Peace X RRG Flash Dance) Fancy is everything we had hoped for (although a little more white would have been nice ?? ) She is upright, athletic, showy, friendly, inquisitive ............ she's a keeper :) Through parental testing, Fancy is Negative for PSSM1

• Coulee Bend Contessa

(La Loma Landmark Command X JMF Miss T Beam) 1995 Black Mare (Picture/Pedigree) Contessa has been our local, provincial, and National Champion and our World Show Top 10 contender. Contessa just never ceases to amaze us, and has taken to motherhood and a partial show career like a real trooper. She is the most dependable horse for riding/ driving and having fun with here on the farm, we don't know what we would do without her ! Tess continues to be our personal mount at shows, and on the trails - she truly is the 'Morgan Horse' personified ! Her latest job her on the farm has been teaching our grandkids about horses, what better horse could we ask for. AND then, at the age of 19, she blessed us with a beautiful palomino filly who we will be retaining as her replacement in our breeding program - what a beautiful legacy. But wait, that doesn't mean she takes the year off, she is still doing leadline classes this summer as well, what a great mare !!

June 11th. 2018 was a terribly sad day when Contessa crossed the Rainbow Bridge, Rest In Peace Tess, till we meet again.....

• Coulee Bend Reverence

  (UVM Thomise X Mirabellas Mesmerized) 2012 Bay filly (Picture/Pedigree) Reverence: a feeling of deep respect, tinged with awe. With that definition in mind, it was easy to name this beautiful filly. She is the last foal sired by our late foundation stallion, UVM Thomise, and we have always been in awe of the amazing foals he sired. Vera is such a beautiful, sweet, outgoing filly and has the amazing athleticism and grace that we have come to expect from her sire. Vera is well started under saddle, but she has really blossomed as a driving horse, and 2017 was her debut in Combined Driving Competitions. We are having so much fun with this amazing young mare and look forward to many years of driving and riding togetherness with her :) This truly beautiful soul has left us far to early .... she is greatly missed Until we meet again.......

  (Whispering High Beam X WSS Shakers Gwinn) 1990 Chestnut Mare (Picture/Pedigree) This mare was nothing short of incredible. She was the matriach of our herd, our Foundation mare, and one of our best and most consistent producers. All her foals have size, type and good old morgan smarts ! She has produced foals that have gone on to be amazing performers in just about all divisions and won championships at just about all levels including the World Championship Show in Oklahoma City. Others have gone on to be life long family members and most of her fillies have become amazing additions to quality broodmare bands.

  2008 Cremello Mare
  (Pictures/Pedigree) Vana will definately be a keeper here at Coulee Bend. Vana is a huge, cremello (double dilute) mare who will produce palomino, buckskin and smokey black foals in the future. Vanna is a super sweet natured mare, is very athletic, pretty head and neck with true sport horse movement. With her amazing looks and long, long mane and tail, she is often referred to as a 'barbie doll horse'. Vanna is broke to ride and has also proven herself as a great producer and amazing mother. Her first foal, Statesman, is a true example of the quality she will continue to produce. Vanna did it again in 2014, producing a gorgeous, big buckskin silver dapple filly - what a beauty!
